I have sent my idea for a simple, low cost Hot Water Heating System to about 10 different people who claim to be interested in Economic development, & solar energy projects, & the only response that I have gotten back is they all give me a name of someone else to contact. My system mounts in the attic, & uses the hot attic space to heat water, & is not visible from the street. Most city building codes & homeowners associations do not allow solar systems to be mounted on the roof. This system operates at aprox. 150 deg. for most of the day, & is very low cost to produce, & has a short payback period of 2 years. I would like to send you a set of plans & see if you (or anyone else) might be interested in helping me develop & market this system.

I believe that I have come up with an idea that I see being used Worldwide and potential to produce enormous profits. This invention that I visualize could be used on a daily basis by millions of people. Not sure if you will ever read this but it’s worth a shot.   My name is James Averill and I live about 30 miles North
of Philadelphia.  I wish the Sixers had half the talent as the Mavs but there’s always “cough cough” next year.
Anyway,  I have an idea that would change the way fans interact with a specific pro sport.  It could easily make a profit of 30k per night during the season and much more as it catches on.  I know that probably doesn’t sound like much to you, but to me would be huge.   I know it works because I use to play it with my friends growing up.   It just needs to be transformed into an app.  If you would give me five minutes of your time to explain the concept I would greatly appreciate it.  If after hearing my idea you don’t like it I promise to wear a Mavs  jersey to ever Sixers game I attend this year.  How can you pass that up?

I am a 27 year old Dallas,Texas native(Whoo Whoo!)And a recent father which,fuels my motivation to contact you. I have an idea that can potentially spark a new trend in the world of extreme sports. Mark, I’m a fellow Hoosier (Econ student for 10+yr’s in B’town).  I should also mention, as a gambler, I had Dirk and the boyz n the Finals this yr. Congrats and TY.  Personally I don’t have any single great ideas, tho I love/Understand basic common sense! Charles Branson has gained my love from his space corp’s and common sense about life. That’s for another discussion. I saw you on Colbert and I applaud your willigness to show how much the Supreme Court and related Corpation Lawmakers are making a mockery on the political system. I know you got yours so keep fighting for us everyday citizens who want to abolish this ridiculous political power/money influence on gov’t. Many of us feel the supreme court and congress have washed out the common man like Stern has washed out the common NBA fan. It takes money and power to make a difference and I’m glad there are folks like you out there willing to stand up against the so called “powerful”. 10 yrs ago i presented an idea to the ceo of the company where i was working. he told me not to pursue it, it was 10 yrs in system analyst. the advent of numerous apps has, 10 yrs later, made it possible. 
its an integrated system that allows you to check the levels of your physical self as they function. Heart, blood, tissue, skin and and organs. 
basically an iPhone g5 ios10 phone that interacts with the human system. the initial market would be for marathon  runners, mma, extreme sports.
the original idea of 10 yrs past, is a 3 fingered glove, not necessary now but still applies to the concept of the opposable thumb that can easily reach the tip of the adjoining 3 fingers and there digits that can bring up menus.

The last comment seems to be a year ago. I don’t know if this blog is still being monitored, but what the heck. I was in management, sales and sales management for 30+ years when I heard I could get rich as a teacher. So I went back to college and became a teacher. For over a decade I have been piling up real riches, but if I could take them to the bank, I would not be writing you here.
I have a concept to solve the international energy problem. It is not some bogus kook idea. This is not just a good idea. It is not just a million dollar idea. This is a multi-billion dollar idea. The world needs an alternative renewable system that is 24/7 reliable power. Today that does not exist.
My concept is a combination of two concepts that can provide power for a single family home or small business to scale it to very large power system. A typical family uses maybe 2kw to 4kw of power a month. My wife and I use less than 2kw. Imagine only a 5kw generator at a million homes around Dallas. If just 1 kw were sold to the grid from each site that would add 1 million kw to the grid per month. Because it is added at a million different points, upgrading the grid would not be necessary. Now imagine a million 20kw systems. This can be set up as a portable unit and set up at the location of some natural disaster providing real help (also marketing and free advertising). It can work in 3rd world countries to power whole villages (Think septic system, food to get them started and seed to plant with training using local resources from a computer hooked to satellite link with education, both formal and practical, in their own language. To help them lift themselves up by the boot straps, we need to give them boots).
One concept is a new blade configured windmill. I do not have the funds to do a proper test, so I did a less than formal test using a primitive model. For wind I used a fan on high. I made my model from model airplane propellers. I tested a base model made of two blades at 90 degrees, a cross. At 5 feet from the fan I counted 80 rpms. I then put my concept together and placed it 5 feet from the same fan. It blew apart. I put it together again and placed it 10 feet from the fan, but it was spinning too fast for me to count, over 120 rpms. I then placed it 15 feet from the fan and counted 90 rpms. Trying to get a base line comparison, I put the original model together again and placed it 15 feet from the fan. The fan would not turn the windmill, zero rpms. I am estimating a 400% improvement in windmill design. I plan for the final product to be about 10-15 feet diameter and does not need to be hundreds of feet up, just 25 feet up. This also prevents the NIMBY an objection to big windmills. However, when there is no wind, there is no power. So another power source is required
My second concept is to use methane from the sewer or septic system (free as and renewable as long as people poop) to make up the difference of low wind. Naturally, without a digester, methane is made in septic systems at about 2 cubic feet a week. This is not much fuel. A traditional methane generator would not would not work 2 hours. My concept will use methane measured as if with an eyedropper and only when wind is not adequate. Where methane is plentiful, like a landfill, a wind-farm can be built operating gw generators and will not be harmed by the pollutants in the methane as are current generators. The basic concept has been around for decades, but never for power generation and never using methane, just other fuels including propane,
A governor has to be developed specifically for my new blade configuration. I have been thinking about this a lot. I think I have come up with a design concept (details to make it work still need to be designed) that would permit this power plant to operate as designed in winds as high as a category 1 or 2 hurricane.
I have been unable to get a grant from Obama to make a prototype. He seems to have no interest since this is not solar. A local company that does this kind of work says they can probably make a full prototype for under $300,000, chump change on a teacher’s salary. USDA has said I can qualify for a rural development grant, once I have a functioning prototype, that will finance me into business. We may not want to wait on a grant. Time is money, but money can also buy time.
I already have marketing worked out. I expect to be able to have this made from $5000 to $10,000 each and sell for $10,000 to $20,000 with installation $500 – $1000 each. I would contract HVAC companies to sell, install, and maintain these units. I would cover their cost to be at home-shows with operating model and video of actual units, I want the product to be manufactured in the US on Native American reservations. This helps Natives economically, helps add a reason for their children to study and learn (jobs when they graduate), and marketing with the white man concept “keep the land clean as you found it” visual. Better yet would be to have the funds (hint) to start with what Direct TV eventually did and own, install, and maintain their own systems. We could own, install and lease these generators for a small fee the homeowner would pay for all the power they need, say $100 a month, and we collect sale of excess power sold to the grid (think excess from 20kw generators), by forming our own electric cooperative. BTW, experts say 80% of the USA is not suitable for wind energy. My concept will make wind energy possible in 80% of the nation or more. One more thought here, by decentralizing power production, the grid is less of a terrorist target.
I don’t expect immediate interest, but maybe curiosity enough for you to want to see the propitiatory part of my concept.
Now what do I want. I need help with funding ($) the prototype, advice on business structure while in fast growth, obtaining international patents ($ – I have been trying to get a prototype for over a decade. Had I started with a patent, it would be running out now.), and protection from very fast growth ($) or the financial ability to meet large fast growth ($). I would also like some proof that it is you answering and not some knock off claiming to be you to steal other people’s ideas and blame you.
